Before joining Thabiso Skills Development Centre in 2025 for the Catering course, I was at home doing very little and had no real understanding of catering. At that time, I only thought catering was simply about cooking food. However, through my training, I learned that catering is much more than that. I gained valuable knowledge about planning, hygiene, cost control, professionalism, and proper waste management. The practical lessons and the way everything was explained made learning enjoyable and easy to understand.
I would like to give special thanks to all the instructors (Life Skills, Basic Business and Catering) for their patience, encouragement, and support. You did not only teach us skills; you taught us discipline, professionalism, and confidence in ourselves. You helped me see that I could build a future through learning.
Today, I am proud and excited to say that I am continuing my studies at Welkom College because I want to keep building on the strong foundation I received from Thabiso Skills Development Centre. I am currently studying Chef NQF Level 5, and I honestly believe that I would not have reached this point without the knowledge and confidence your institution gave me.
I highly appreciate the work that Thabiso Skills Development Centre is doing because when I arrived, I knew nothing about catering, but today I am growing and moving forward with purpose and ambition. I am truly thankful.
