My name is Motsheoa Malane. I am from Welkom in the Free State. Before I attended training at Thabiso Skills Development Centre (TSDC), I was in a very challenging time in my life. I didn’t have the skills or resources to make a decent living, and I lacked a clear plan for my future. I felt lost and unsure about which career path to take.
One day I saw that someone had posted graduation photos on Facebook after she had completed a course at TSDC, and that inspired me and gave me hope. Seeing her success motivated me to seek skills and take steps toward building a better future for myself. This was the opportunity that changed my life and gave me hope to pursue something greater
In 2024, I enrolled in the Beauty and Make-up course at TSDC. I enjoyed the course and my facilitator was kind and helpful and taught me how to do make-up for functions and photoshoots, etc.
Today, I am self-employed and do make-up for women attending functions and events. Thanks to TSDC, I now earn an income from the skills I learnt in the training. I am grateful for the opportunity and the profound impact TSDC has had in my life. I am proud of how far I have come.
