My name is Sindile Goliath, and after finishing secondary school, I felt a bit lost when I couldn’t enrol in a tertiary institution. But everything changed for the better when a friend told me about Thabiso Skills Development Centre.
In October 2024 I eagerly registered for the Carpentry course, and it marked the beginning of an incredible new chapter in my life.
The training I received at Thabiso was absolutely top-notch Every single thing we needed for both theory and practical work was provided.
I feel so grateful for the wonderful mentorship from all the facilitators in Life Skills, Carpentry and Small, Medium and Microenterprise training. The dedication of the entire team at Thabiso Skills Development Centre is truly inspiring – they create such a warm and comfortable atmosphere that makes learning a joy.
By the beginning of 2025, I was proudly self-employed, creating beautiful tables and chairs for kids. Then, in May 2025, I landed a fantastic job as a boilermaker at Pelatona Projects (Pty.) Ltd.
I would wholeheartedly recommend Thabiso to anyone and everyone. You don’t just gain a valuable skill, you also learn how to navigate life’s challenges and even manage your own business. It is an amazing, all-inclusive package for any person who is ready to change their life for the better.
As I continue on my journey, I am weaving together a life story filled with joy, resilience, and wisdom, and I am so thankful to Thabiso Skills Development Centre and Absa, who funded part of the course expense, for the beautiful path I am now on.
