Thabiso Skills Development Centre – Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of Terms:

• By enrolling in any course offered by Thabiso Skills Development Centre, learners acknowledge and agree to abide by the rules and regulations outlined in these Terms and Conditions.

2. Student Rules:

• All learners must adhere to the Student Rules provided by Thabiso Skills Development Centre, as detailed in the Student Rules section.

3. Payment Terms:

• Learners are required to pay 50% of the course contributions upon registration. The remaining balance must be settled two weeks before the end of the course. Failure to do so may result in non-issuance of certificates.

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy:

• No refunds will be issued for cancellations made after registration and before the course commencement date.

5. Attendance Requirements:

• Learners must maintain an 80% attendance throughout the course, as stipulated by SETA. Certificates will not be issued if a learner exceeds five days of absence.

6. Liability Disclaimer:

• Thabiso Skills Development Centre is not responsible for injuries, personal losses, or the contraction of Covid-19 during the learner’s presence at the center or while traveling on provided transportation.

7. Dress Code:

• Learners must adhere to the specified dress code, including appropriate attire and the mandatory use of masks in designated areas.

8. Code of Conduct:

• Learners must conduct themselves in a manner befitting the learning environment. Failure to comply with rules may result in expulsion.

9. Property and Equipment:

• No removal of organization property without written authorization. Unauthorized use may lead to expulsion.

10. Privacy and Photos: – Learners grant Thabiso Skills Development Centre permission to take and share photos for educational and marketing purposes.

11. Contact and Communication: – Learners must keep cell phones switched off during course times. Use of phones for music or calls during class may result in temporary confiscation.

12. Expulsion Policy: – Learners expelled from the center are prohibited from re-registering for a course for a period of 12 months.

13. Smoking and Substance Policy: – Smoking is strictly prohibited within or near buildings on the premises. Possession of weapons, drugs, or alcohol will lead to expulsion.

14. Health and Safety: – Learners must adhere to health and safety rules at all times.

15. Mandatory Courses: – Life Skills and Business Skills courses are compulsory. Failure to complete Life Skills may prevent progression to the chosen course.

16. Covid-19 Compliance: – Learners must adhere to Covid-19 rules and regulations. Non-compliance may result in expulsion.

I, undertake to comply with the above rules and regulations during the duration of my course. I commit to attending the entire period of the scheduled training and submitting all necessary documents within the agreed timeline. I further agree to be liable for any expenditure incurred by the project sponsor due to non-attendance or non-completion of the funded training program. I provide Thabiso Skills Development Centre permission to take and share photos for educational and marketing purposes.
